No relationship is created by a message
Submitting a form, report, email, voicemail, or update request asks PCRA to review or respond to information. It does not create representation, confirm that PCRA will act, stop a deadline, or establish a service relationship.
Do not send sensitive documents before instructions
Do not send Social Security numbers, financial data, full medical files, privileged communications, discovery, transcripts, presentence reports, identification documents, or other highly sensitive records through ordinary email or a public form unless PCRA first provides an approved delivery method.
Electronic transmission risks
Email and online transmissions may be misdirected, delayed, intercepted, stored by service providers, or accessed from a shared device or account. Use an account and device you control, verify addresses, and consider whether communications could create safety or privacy concerns.
Consent to a response
When you provide an email address or phone number, you authorize PCRA to respond about that inquiry through the selected channel. Do not provide contact information that is unsafe to use. Marketing or law-update communications should be sent only with separate consent and should include an unsubscribe method.
No emergency or deadline submissions
Do not use a website form to report an emergency, satisfy a court or agency filing requirement, preserve an appeal, exhaust a grievance, or calculate a deadline. Contact the responsible authority or an appropriate case-specific resource directly.
Documents and retention
If PCRA requests documents, follow the delivery, naming, redaction, and copy-retention instructions provided. Keep your originals. Materials may be retained or deleted consistent with the Privacy Policy, operational needs, and applicable requirements.
